Stanley has been involved in politics for many decades. He started taking an active interest in local politics after observing how council of the day mishandled the file in regards to the library (prior to the current building being constructed). It is important for councilors to balance short term requirements with long term plans and public expectations.
The Early Years
Stanley grew up on the east coast, and is 7th of 9 children. His father died when the youngest was 2 months old and his mother raised the family on her own.

When Stan was in high school he developed his signature look of wearing a tie, the only student to do so. By college, it had become a regular part of his wardrobe. Working as a labourer to pay his way through school, his end of work routine was to have a shower and put on a white shirt and tie to relax.
Belleville is my Home!
Stan came to Belleville in the 1980s and worked at Nortel for 20 years. He loves fixing old buildings and currently owns a few that are rental properties in Belleville. He also sits as President of Architectural Conservancy of Ontario Quinte Region and is a director on the Hastings County Historical Society .
Family Life
Genevieve and Stan have been married 27 years. Genevieve is a registered nurse and works in long term care. They have been season ticket holders at the Pinnacle Playhouse for 24 years and live within walking distance of downtown.

His main “hobby” is fixing old buildings and Stan also enjoys biking and walking. Stan is fluent in both English and French. This year Stanley is running for council and with your support he will have the opportunity to represent your interests and concerns at city hall.
